Oregon school district sets town hall on bullying

LEBANON — Superintendent Rob Hess of the Lebanon Community School District is planning a community meeting next month to discuss bullying and harassment.

The meeting, “Bullying and Harassment: Protecting and Serving All,” will be held Sept. 15. Time and location have not yet been announced.

Hess told the Lebanon School Board on Monday the meeting is part of his effort to improve communication, foster trust and raise student achievement. He also plans a Sept. 26 retreat with the school board to talk about the vision for the school district’s future.

Promising at his hiring to hold “100 conversations” with people throughout the community to assess perceptions of the schools, Hess said he just completed conversation 129. Full story.
