LAS VEGAS, N.M. (AP) — A teenager charged in the Robertson High School football rape and hazing case will spend up to a year in jail after violating his probation by attending a heavy metal concert in Albuquerque. Seventeen-year-old Santiago Armijo acknowledged Monday he violated probation terms.
Armijo told state District Judge James Hall he lied to his mother about his whereabouts on June 24, the night he attended a concert in Albuquerque with a friend. He spent the night at his friend’s house in Los Lunas. Armijo received probation in April for his role in assaults where teammates were held down against their will and sodomized with broomsticks at Roberston’s training camp last August. Full story.
