LOS ALAMITOS — Eighty-six percent of about 600 readers said they believe schools do not handle bully attacks and threats seriously, according to a Register online poll.
The poll looked for reader insight on the story surrounding a mother who alleged that bully attacks on her 11-year-old son were ignored by the Los Alamitos Unified School District.
“What children experience at school is wrong, it has always been wrong for kids to be bullied and schools are liable and should be held liable,” Register commenter joyfulhappy wrote. “Every school knows who the bullies are and they ignore it — they need to wake up and do something about it.” Full story.
